Printing Technology

Spentys uses Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), a highly advanced 3D printing technology. It works by depositing polymer powder in ultra-thin layers, fused together using functional agents and heat. This process ensures high precision, strong mechanical properties, and smooth surfaces.

Material Options

You can choose between two material types:

  • TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane): A flexible and durable material, ideal for orthoses that require elasticity or shock absorption.

  • PA12 (Polyamide 12): A rigid and robust material, perfect for splints and braces requiring strength and dimensional stability.

Please note: Color customization is only available with PA12. TPU orders are printed in their natural finish.

Surface Finish: Vapor Fusion

For both materials, you have the option to include a vapor fusion finish, a post-processing technique that gives the device a smooth and sealed surface. This not only enhances the aesthetics but also makes the device easier to clean and more skin-friendly.

Selecting vapor fusion adds 2 extra working days to your delivery time. For some devices, this additional finishing is required.

Color & Pattern Selection (PA12 Only)

When printing in PA12, you can choose from a curated palette of colors and unique patterns. Here are the current options:

These visual finishes allow you to personalize devices for individual patients, especially pediatric or long-term orthosis users.
