How to import a scan?

Spentys is an open platform for every scanner of the market. Do you have an external scanner and want to use it in our workflow? Here is how.

To start, go to your personal space on the web platform https://serp.spentys.com

You will find via the left menu the icon of your scan import tab.

(the square surrounded by 4 dials)

Here you will find a list of all the scans you have imported. You can review them by clicking on the little eye icon corresponding to their line.

To add a new scan, click on the "add new scan" icon at the top right

This new window will allow you to import a scan by dragging your file into the space provided.

Make sure to reference the brand of scanner you used.

Then select the member corresponding to your scan.

Confirm the measuring unit and add a description of the scan if you wish.

Finalize the action by clicking on the "Submit" button

From now on, when you go to your iOS app, your scans will be available if you select the member/segment corresponding to the one you registered on the platform.

For example, here we will import a head scan:

First, we select the head segment for our orthotic:

Then in the scan step, instead of adding a scan, we will click on the "import" button

A new interface will open, containing a list of all the scans you have imported involving this member/segment.

Select your scan, validate once again the unit of measurement used and click on "import".

Your scan now appears on your order, and you can use it to model your orthosis.

That’s it! You know how to import your scans to make your splints.
